ABOUT ME

Dr. Sun is a double board certified psychiatrist / family practitioner who specializes in telepsychiatry.  After residency, Dr. Sun worked in dual outpatient psychiatry and family practice roles for 2 years before accepting a position with Oklahoma’s Chickasaw Nation Health System.  She served as the Chief of Psychiatry with the Chickasaws for almost 12 years during which she provided: direct patient care, psychiatric curbside consultation to other physicians, administrative oversight over the Department of Psychiatry, and precepting for family medicine residents during their psychiatry rotation.  Dr. Sun embarked on her solo psychiatric practice in order to provide quality, individualized psychiatric care with a focus on shared decision making.   She tries to walk with her patients through their symptoms and struggles, while respecting and encouraging personal autonomy, responsibility and growth.  Dr. Sun identifies as non-denominational Christian and is accepting and welcoming of persons from all walks and faiths.

  • Medical School: Rowan-SOM DO Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

  • Residency: University Hospitals of Cleveland – Case Western (Cleveland, OH)
